The skin under my eye in swelling!?

Last night I was on the computer and my left eye is itching, so I was rubbing it for few seconds, after few minutes I noticed the skin below my eye is swelling! Its not very big, but I can feel it and it feel uncomfortable when I look down, So I gone to sleep and woke up around 1:30pm and its still swelling!

I haven't told my parent yet, since they are at work right now.

Should I worried about this? What should I do to make the swelling gone? Should go see an eye doctor? And I don't wear any glasses or contact lens.

Thanks so much!

The skin under my eye in swelling!?
Mine do this when my sinuses are acting up. Just try some ice to it and see what happens. If it doesnt hurt and there isnt any drainage just try ice. Maybe you will need a doc in the morning if the swelling is worse or symptoms change.
Reply:Did you eat anything unusual? Or get something like a cat hair, for example in your eye? Sounds like an allergic reaction. Take a benadryl and see if it goes down. If it gets really bad go to the hospital. And yes tell your parents.
Reply:Put a cold pack on your eyes and take two IBUPROFEN. They both work on swelling and inflammation.
Reply:Unless your eye is red, painful and/or itching, it probably isn't an allergy. If holding a cold washcloth to your eye doesn't help, Benadryl is available in pill form.

You might have strained your eye temporarily if you spent too much time online. Check with a parent before going to a doctor if the swelling remains by morning.
Reply:2 reduce the the puffiness of ur eyes, grate a potato;tie in a cloth and place the cloth over ur eyes for about 15 minutes than it will obviously go!

Looking for a good skin firming lotion ??

I have had 2 kids and after my last baby (which was bigger and carried all out in front) as I lose weight I am noticing I have some loose skin. It's not terrible but still it could use some firming. I figure if I find a good lotion now and use it while I'm losing the weight I can firm it back up gradually so when I'm back to where I want to be weight wise my skin will be firmer too. I know it can be done without surgery a girl I used to baby sit for lost sooooo much weight after her second baby that she weighed less than before pregnancy and she firmed her skin up without surgery unfortunately she moved away and I can't ask her what she used. Any advice?

Looking for a good skin firming lotion ??
oh sweetie can i relate: the best thing you can do is lose the weight slowly and i cant state enough how important exercise is especially some weight training, even 10 minutes a day, walk swim anything,,,you can buy so many firming creams but there's no magic one out there: If you were talking about your face I just found a great one by Loreal called "revitalift" it has 2 sides in it one is firming and the other moisturizer they come out at the same time, I worked in skin care and cosmetics practically my whole life at some high end dept stores and honestly, this has been the best for my face,,,good luck,,and don't be so hard on yourself (if you are) your going to get older gravity is going to take a toll no matter what you can do, don't get me wrong fight it, but don't let it control you,,,I hope i helped,,,,,

Firming up my tummy skin ??

I plan on losing the weight slowly well it doesn't really matter what my plan is my body says it's going to be slow and hard to get off. Pregnancy really messed with my metabolism. Anyway... with a slow gradual weight loss and the aid of a firming lotion I hope to see some improvement.

Questions about dry ice skin "burns"?

I have small spots on my feet that I think might be dry ice burns so... first of all, do the spots show up on your skin immediately after it comes in contact with dry ice, and second, does it ever go away?

Questions about dry ice skin "burns"?
My question is how you got dry ice burns on your feet? Anyway, I think the spots would come right away because you just killed your skin cells. It should go away your body is good at healing many small injures. %26gt;.%26lt;

S Second degree burn not healing?

I have a second degree burn that doesnt seem to be healing. k this is the story 6 days ago i sat on a hot curling iron went to the er the put all the cream ad guaze they told me to. my burn is now pinkish and not much improvement from the first time i burnt it. followed up with a doctor and she told me to scrub off all the dead skin that grows over the pink spot. But the anitbacteria cream is preventing it from healing in my opinion. Kuz i feel like the skin that grows over my pink skin is like a scab but the doc told me to scrub it off. I dont feel like their telling me to do the right thing. i want to keep the cream on but not wash off all the dead skin kuz i think its forming a a scab. what should i do i dont think doctors dont always know best.

IMP but if i stop putting the antibacteria on it how can i keep it from infection?

Second degree burn not healing?
give it time. My Dad got 2nd degree burns on his face and they just took time to heal.
Reply:Your skin is trying to heal itself by making new skin. It's coming up to the surface slowly. It takes a long time for any 2-3rd degree burn to heal. Just keep putting the cream on and don't touch it too much, besides cleaning once a day. If it becomes infected, you could be in alot of trouble. Most burn cases get worse because of infection. In fact, that's the number 1 reason in hospitals. I would put the cream on and some cover bandaid, and leave it alone. Besides monitering the healing, that's all you can do.
Reply:it would be a very foolish thing for anybody in Q%26amp;A who hasn't even seen the wound or knows anything else about you, to second guess what your medical caregivers are advising you to do. What I would advise you to do..... and what you really should have done...... is talk to the doctor who attended you, and ask him, or her to give you a complete explanation of the instructions that you have been given for the care of this burn. Anything you don't understand, ask the doctor to further clarify.

You say you don't think doctors always know best. I assure you that your medical caregivers know a lot better than total strangers in this forum. But the only w ay to get further explanation is to speak up and ask. Good luck, and speedy recovery.
Reply:Use neosporin. It doesn't hurt when you put it on. Also, if you have a scar left, then use Mederma.

Second time with allergic reaction to AJAX what can I do for the itch?

Im 5 months pregnant I have never had an allergic reaction to anything in my life this is the second time I barely had a dab of ajax on my skin and I broke out once again Im itching like crazy and it sucks because Im a compulsive scratcher when I itch so I pretty much scar the heck out my arms I been doin it since I was a kid its very hard for me to stop believe me I try very very very hard not to scratch but its itching so bad I just dont know what to do for the itch anymore I just use a good hypoallergenic body wash and dont bother put anything on it . does that sound like a good idea and why is it all of a sudden I have an allergic reaction is it possible just cause Im pregnant that made it easier for it to happen?

Second time with allergic reaction to AJAX what can I do for the itch?
Did you ever have an allergic reaction to AJAX prior to your pregnancy??? If so, you are simply allergic to the chemical composition of AJAX. If not, it may be due to your pregnancy, but I'm no doctor. For treatment, you may wanna ask a pharmacist on what is good for your rash. Benadryl does wonders, but tends to leave you drowsy.
Reply:Baby lotion has always helped me. even if you get a sunburn
Reply:You can put calamine lotion or hydrocortisone cream on it. You do need to get rid of all of those toxic chemicals and laundry products you are using especially with a baby coming. Most of those are registered pesticides. Switch to all natural products and take the old ones to a toxic waste recycling place in your area. Do not put the old products in the trash as they are considered toxic waste. Once you get rid of the old products thoroughly clean your house and clothes with the new products before the baby comes. If you are having that kind of a reaction just from your contact with it what do you think that would or is happening to you baby when he/she comes in contact with it or when you breathe the fumes in as you use the product? This is not an allergic reaction this is a chemical reaction you just had similar to a chemical burn. Think of you and your babies health and switch your products. Good Luck.
Reply:The best over the counter item for itching is 1% hydrocortisone cream. And, if you get it at Wal-Mart, it's like $2.
Reply:Yes you can develop allergies during pregnancy, they can disappear after the birth but sometimes they stay.

Bin all of the Ajax in your house and use a different product.

Reactions are unpredictable and different each time, it may just remain as a skin reaction or it could develop into a true allergy, swelling, wheezing, etc.

Does your skin turn a different color forever when you burn yourself?

I had a second degree burn and the scab is falling off revealing pink skin.

Does your skin turn a different color forever when you burn yourself?
the skin underneath the scar is pink because it is fresh, new skin. It won't stay this color forever - within a couple of weeks you may not even be able to tell the that you had a burn, however with the severity of your burn it's possible the area will heal with scar tissue, which is usually lighter in pigment than the rest of your skin (whiteish) and does not tan like normal skin. There are several things recommended for helping to heal scars, but I would not apply any lotions to the burn until it has fully healed as this can trap in heat and increase the damage. Once it's fully healed, try Vit E cream/oil or Mederma, these have been shown to decrease scarring.
Reply:Use vitamin E. It'll help you not have a scar.
Reply:Neosporene should have been put on the burn a day after you burned it. This would have helped with the healing. Pink colored skin is a good sign. That is new skin developing. Let the scab fall on it's own. After the scab falls, start with vitamin E oil for the next 6-8 months. This will help fade the scar. The scar will always be there, just less noticeable. Depending where it is, the sun will also help fade it through the years. Just be patient.
