Are you ever prejudiced based on the color of someones skin or their race??

just curious. i love this show Without Prejudice and i was just like wow okay a question! so if you see a black person do you make any judgments based SOLELY on the fact that they're black? white ppl? and so on...or if you meet a black, asian, or hispanic person do you judge them based on whether or not they are dark/light skinned with ethnic/non ethnic features??





personally i think people who do this are extremely ignorant but you know thats just me. maybe because ive been exposed to diverse environments and different cultures its never been second nature to judge based on skin tone. i choose to judge based on character and behavior. im black too so i wouldnt want anyone judging me like that even though im sure they do.

No I am not and I have to give that credit to my family and also I the society of friends I have had especially while growing up, who taught me right morales .... I think I am lucky cuz most of the people who prejudice dont get exposed to that cuz that how they been brought up.





A child comes with an open plaing mind .... what you put in is how they develop.
Reply:To be honest with you, I know it's not right, but I do judge people based on their race *sometimes*. Your question really made me think about it. It is sad but I can't help it. I don't think I would be this way if my family was more open to other races. Since I can remember my family has always had their opinions and views on other races and they havent always been the best. I'm not the only one like this, the majority of my town is and I don't want to add anymore because it may appear biased.

Reply:as a person of color I hate to say it but I do make snapped judgments about white people I know it's not right but I learned about racism and slavery at a very young age and maybe I did learn the one side version but I truly have a disdain for white people when ever I seem them I make sure that I make eye contact cause I don't want them to feel like they are superior or expect me to look away like they do..I honestly feel that no matter how cool you are with a white person deep down inside they will allways feel like they are better than you
